Basement's Poured And Framing Is Starting

They poured the basement yesterday and are starting on framing. All of the duct work on the first and second floor is done and the guys today were finishing in the basement and hooking up the furnace. 1 more meeting with Guardian on Monday regarding the basement set up.

They also have the garage drain in and ready to pour the concrete. Our pre-drywall meeting is set for Wednesday at 10am. I'm amazed at how fast this is going!

  1. Wow, I remember your post about the framing getting started, and that was just two weeks ago! Incredible how fast they can build a house!

  2. Ask your PM about getting a damper put in from the start. My PM told me the Ravenna is sized right between the 1 Zone versus 2 Zone (HVAC). Anyway, they had to widen the "output whatever" for the air flow to the first floor and put in an adjustable damper going to the second. BECAUSE the air was blowing right by creating a sauna on the second while being at least 10 degrees colder on the 1st. Now I can adjust the damper so that the two floors are similar in temp.
